Oil Cooler
The oil cooler itself is about a couple inches further inboard than what it appears the drawings show. But the drawings are for a O320-360 not the IO360. I think this will work well but only time will tell. I mounted the oil cooler to the left rear baffle (#4). I reinforced the baffles using .063 plate.
The next big gotcha is the oil cooler line behind the oil filter. The FWF kit comes with a 45 degree fitting and has you install the fitting before mounting the engine. It was still a pain, even before mounting the engine. Unfortunately, it will not clear the bracket for the new constant speed propeller governor. The plans call for the 45 to be at about a 7:00 o-clock position. Doesn't work. First picture shows turning the fitting up to about a 2-3:00 oclock. Still doesn't work. So, pulled the oil filter mount, removed the 45 degree fitting and installed a 90 degree fitting as shown in the second picture, attached the line (third picture), re-installed the oil filter mount and everything worked. (I'm going to order a new gasket for the oil filter mount now rather than worry with an oil leak later.)
I've also been told that you can use the oil port that is right below the breather port to feed the oil cooler. I haven't tried it but have been told that it would work.
